About the Role
This position supports both our production floor and the operational side of the business. You'll split your time between hands-on fabrication work and the coordination, communication, and logistics tasks that keep projects on track. A meaningful part of the production work involves taking approved designs and preparing them for fabrication — creating cut files, working files, and jigs in Adobe Illustrator. Candidates with Illustrator experience are strongly preferred, and we're hoping at least one hire brings that skillset to the team.
No prior sign industry experience is required.
Production
- Creating fabrication files from approved designs using Adobe Illustrator — including cut files, working files, and jigs
- Verifying files are production-ready before jobs go to the floor
- Operating shop equipment including our flatbed printer, wrap printer, vinyl plotter, laminator, and CNC router
- Printing, laminating, trimming, and finishing fabricated pieces
- Building FLSI (Fabrication, Load, Ship, Install) documentation for install jobs
- Substrate preparation and cutting
- Routine equipment maintenance and process documentation
Ops and Coordination
- Tracking and updating jobs in our project management system
- Managing shop inventory and ordering consumables
- Coordinating install logistics — crew scheduling, equipment rentals, travel arrangements
- Packing, shipping, and receiving — including freight coordination and damage claims
- Supporting proposal and quoting document preparation
- Client communication on project status and post-install follow-up
- Google Drive file organization and general administrative support
Requirement
A degree is welcome but not required in a specific field — a background in graphic design, fine arts, or a related area is particularly relevant given the file preparation component of this role. We're more interested in how you work than where you studied. Adobe Illustrator proficiency is a strong plus, and candidates who have it should highlight it. Beyond that, the right person is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their work without needing to be closely managed. Experience in production, coordination, logistics, or a trade-adjacent environment is a plus.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience to careers(at)anotherwaycapital.com.
