Position Summary:

First Liberty Institute’s IT Support Specialist provides IT/AV support related to computer and audio/video systems in an Apple Mac-based environment. 

Responsibilities:

IT

  • Provide support for Mac-based environment, including macOS and iOS
  • Resolve issues related to MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • AV support for departmental meetings (presentations, online meetings, etc.)
  • Provide support for MS Teams phones and Teams application
  • Answer employee questions regarding computer systems software and hardware
  • Gather and analyze date to diagnose problems with computer systems
  • Change configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues
  • Install new software on computer systems
  • Install and configure software and hardware components
  • Log all service requests and update tickets as needed
  • Update employees on status of their service requests
  • Document IT support issues and their resolutions for future reference
  • Carry out regular maintenance and updates of computer systems to improve efficiency
  • Train end-users on how to set up and use new technologies
  • Establish good relationships with all departments and colleagues to ensure clear communication channels
  • Other duties as assigned

AV

  • Set up and run online meetings and presentations for meetings and fundraising events
  • AV sound and video checks at fundraising events
  • Test MS PowerPoint slide decks and make needed edits
  • Run MS PowerPoint slide decks for the event show following an outlined flow of the show
  • Interact with and manage onsite AV person/vendor
  • Set up and breakdown of marketing banners and backdrops

 

Requirement

Requirements:

  • Must agree with and sign First Liberty’s Articles of Faith
  • Experience with MacOS and iOS devices
  • Experience with MS Office desktop and Office 365 cloud applications
  • Experience with AV sound and video systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end-users at all levels
  • Listen actively, diagnose issues efficiently, and provide solutions with a service-first mindset
  • Maintain a proactive approach to IT support, ensuring minimal downtime for end users
  • Ability to take direction, then work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel 20%

Physical Requirements:

  • Intermittent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Heavy walking, standing, crawling under desks/tables, stooping, reaching with hands and arms
  • Lift up to 40-50 pounds without asssitance
