Job Summary
This position is responsible for the product backlog, roadmap, strategy, and management of Guidestone’s public websites and other web products. They are charged with understanding business needs and collaborating on initiatives across GuideStone, with an emphasis on web, mobile, customer experience, user experience, and analytics.
They will lead user story and feature-mapping efforts, be responsible for backlog grooming and ongoing refinement, while working with developers, platform owner and Marketing team to execute the product roadmap. This role will know and understand digital trends, respond to website performance proactively, and drive optimization and enhancement.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and will work closely with various teams and cross-functional stakeholders to define the product roadmap, capture business requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver digital experiences that achieve desired business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Web Strategy
Own and drive product roadmap and vision for GuideStone’s public websites.
Make strategic decisions for our web properties and tools.
Develop necessary processes, procedures and training documentation.
Participate in market research, validation, and white space analysis to identify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities.
Communicate critical details, deadlines and updates as needed.
Strategic Backlog Management
Serve as Sitecore/CMS/public website SME on the Platform Scrum team.
Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of all work items, such as new development features, CMS structure, pipelines, maintenance, and defects.
Ability to work and collaborate with technical and creative teams, as well as with various line of business leaders, to define business/development requirements, build detailed user stories and execute strategies.
Utilize custom development for the greatest use and scalability across all sites and apps.
Manage development releases, including approval, cadence, testing, communication with team members and stakeholders, troubleshooting, etc.
Testing
Work along QA team to maximize and develop testing strategies.
Complete and oversee necessary testing alongside developers and stakeholders.
Work alongside User Experience and Customer Experience to gather user feedback to consistently enhance the websites.
Tool and Product Ownership
Own Admin accounts, manage contract renewals, inform budget needs, and manage vendor relationships for CMS platforms, web and analytic tools, search tools, and more.
Manage budget for CMS and other web related tools and ensure contracts and invoices are paid on time.
Own Domain/DNS management alongside IT teams.
Vett and onboard vendors, consultants and tools as needed to accomplish business goals and enhance user experience.
Analyze
Measure, report and analyze website performance to improve our digital products.
Work alongside UX and CX to gather and analyze user feedback to consistently enhance the websites.
Additional
Must understand the full digital marketing and web development mix and be able to communicate technical aspects of a campaign or project in an easily digestible manner.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and time constraints.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and departments.
Maintain a customer-centric mindset, working to translate the needs of users into digital business opportunities.
Ability to manage websites/platforms including creation, updating and ongoing administration.
Manage relationships and work closely with agency partners, as necessary.
Keep a strong pulse on financial service industry digital trends and innovation through competitive marketplace analysis.
Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption, where appropriate
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, web development, computer science, MIS or related field, preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing, web development or a related field.
Strong and proven track record/performance in managing complex projects.
Knowledge and experience of working according to agile methodologies and lean product development.
Expert in CMS usage and management.
Exposure to Sitecore and Azure, preferred.
Ability to learn software applications, CMS systems and technical information quickly.
Highly self-motivated.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Adapts well to change and works well under pressure.
Must possess excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
Travel approximately 5%.
Proficient skills in MS Office
