Position Summary: As part of the Accounting team, you will work under the Director of Accounting & Donor Relations to process accounting transactions and provide support to a growing nonprofit organization.
Position Responsibilities: ● Review bills and secure approvals from department managers. ● Prepare payments for bills, including requests from field personnel. ● Manage corporate credit card documentation and journal entries. ● Work with Donor Relations to ensure donations are posted accurately in DonorPerfect and QuickBooks. ● Processes A/R for the building, coordinating with building manager and Operations as needed. ● Assist Donor Relations Specialist with mailings and bi-weekly check processing. ● Cross-train with Donor Relations Specialist to handle deposits, transaction recording, and mailings as needed. ● Calculate administrative fees charged to field personnel. ● Ensure accuracy of accounting transactions in QuickBooks. ● Provide month-end reporting to department managers. ● Assist with special projects and reports as needed. ● Adhere to policies and procedures of Beyond and living in accordance with its Statement of Faith, Core Values, and Decision Matrix. Live according to biblical standards, as defined by the Board of Directors. ● Other duties as assigned.
Requirement
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
● Demonstrate commitment to actively living out a Christ‐follower life according to the Bible as interpreted by the Beyond Board of Directors.
● Demonstrates servant leadership and a heart for mission-driven work.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Minimum of two years post‐secondary accounting studies (preferred).
● Experience in fund accounting with a nonprofit organization (preferred).
● Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
● Ability to provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
● Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
● Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
● Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
● Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural workers.
● Effective time management skills.
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams
