Editorial Coordinator 
 

Job Summary: The Editorial Coordinator supports Denison Forum’s content, editorial initiatives and team by assisting with content scheduling, publishing, coordination, and basic project support across digital platforms and limited in person events. This role works closely with the content team to help execute the editorial calendar, prepare and distribute content, and maintain accuracy and consistency across written, email,  podcast, and video channels. The Editorial Coordinator role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to grow skills in content production, digital publishing, and ministry communications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • None

Editorial & Content Support

  • Assist with maintaining Denison Forum’s editorial calendar and coordinating communication with contributing writers.
  • Support the publishing, monitoring, and updating of web articles to ensure accuracy, functionality, brand consistency, and basic search optimization.
  • Assist with coordination of the Faith & Clarity podcast editorial calendar, including guest recruitment, communication, scheduling, publishing, and coordination with external vendors.
  • Assist with coordination of the Culture Brief podcast editorial calendar, scheduling, publishing, and coordination with external vendors.
  • Help prepare, schedule, and send weekly and special edition content emails.
  • Provide support with content preparation, proofreading, and formatting across digital platforms as needed.

Project & Team Coordination

  • Support Denison Forum content team meetings using the Table Group organizational model, including agenda preparation and note-taking.
  • Participate in internal meetings to capture key information and action items related to content projects.
  • Assist with coordinating timelines and deliverables for content projects.
  • Assist with coordinating sponsorship setup, payments, and booth information.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to support content-related initiatives, campaigns, and events.
  • Assist with meeting scheduling between the Denison Forum leadership team and strategic partners, including pastors, ministry leaders, and key organizational contacts.
  • Submit Denison Forum team content reimbursements, collect credit card receipts, and submit expenses for Denison Forum content team members.
  • All other related tasks as assigned by the Editor in Chief.

 

Requirement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1–3 years of experience in content support, editorial assistance, communications, marketing, or a related field (including internships, contract work, or relevant student experience)
  • Basic working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms related to writing, digital publishing, email marketing website publishing, social media, or podcasting (professional or academic experience acceptable)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new systems and workflows
  • College education preferred
