Description
Youth Equipped to Succeed (YES) is seeking a relationship-driven, mission-minded Major Gifts Officer with a strong passion for people, storytelling, and the power of generosity to help advance the organization’s fundraising efforts and deepen engagement with donors supporting more than 200,000 students, parents and educators annually through messages of hope and connection. This role will cultivate, steward, and grow meaningful donor relationships that support the long-term sustainability and growth of the YES mission. The Major Gifts Officer will play a key role in strengthening philanthropic partnerships, advancing strategic fundraising initiatives, and helping expand the impact of YES across the communities we serve.

Requirement
Major Gift Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 100–150 qualified major donors and prospects.
- Develop and execute individualized moves management plans for each assigned donor
- Conduct 15–20 donor visits per month.
- Personally solicit and close five- and six-figure gifts aligned with annual revenue goals.
- Collaborate with leadership on major gift strategy, campaign priorities, and funding initiatives that expand the reach and impact of the YES mission.
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship
- Build authentic, trust-based relationships with donors rooted in the impact and mission of YES.
- Communicate the vision, stories, and outcomes of YES in a compelling and donor-centered way.
- Create customized proposals, impact reports, and engagement strategies.
- Identify and cultivate multi-year and transformational giving opportunities.
- Ensure donors feel meaningfully connected to the students, schools, and communities their support impacts.
Portfolio Management & Accountability
- Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking within CRM.
- Forecast revenue and provide monthly portfolio performance reports.
- Ensure disciplined, data-driven moves management processes and follow-through.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with the Founder and CEO, Executive Director, and Director of Development on donor engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with Development, Events, Communications, and Grants teams to ensure cohesive messaging and donor experience.
- Represent YES at cultivation events including annual Celebration fundraiser, school visits, and key donor gatherings, etc.
- Serve as a passionate ambassador for the YES mission and culture in all donor interactions.
Other General Requirements
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, or other relationship-driven roles preferred.
- High initiative, grit, and accountability. Passion for the YES mission and serving students.
- Coachable, growth-minded, and willing to travel throughout North Texas for donor visits and events.
