Job Summary
This position support Campus Operations in Monthly/Yearly Preventive monthly work orders, manages the trash switching of cans for housing buildings and other tasks assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Switching out compactor cans at housing buildings, including Saturdays
- Completes monthly preventive work orders
- Cleans compactor rooms weekly
- Window cleaning on campus
- Cleaning work spaces (computer monitors, phones); dusting/cleaning blinds; washing windows (internal and external); washing trash receptacles; cleaning vents, ducts, lights, and overhead items; attending training meetings; complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- To fill in for full-time Custodian II during absence due to illness or vacation
- Communicate any facility deficiencies to appropriate Facilities and Plant Operations (FPO) personnel.
- Follow oral and written instructions regarding safety, administrative and cleaning matters.
- Listen to and collect information from customers when approached and work with them to meet their needs within scope of responsibility.
- Must be available every other weekend for on call emergencies

- Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years related experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally
