Job description World Gospel Outreach is looking for the right person to join our team as the Host/ Hostess of Rancho Ebenezer in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The Ranch Host/ Hostess will be responsible for overseeing guests, Guest Volunteers and others that come to Rancho Ebenezer. They will be expected to work in tandem with the Serve Team Manager and other managers to ensure that all the needs of these people are met and communicated properly. The Host/ Hostess will be expected to understand the vision and uphold the values of WGO and display these values in their daily interactions.
The essential requirements and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential/Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee guests, Guest Volunteers and visitors at Rancho Ebenezer
- Be primary point of contact for paperwork and training pertaining to guests and Guest Volunteers
- Be available to provide transportation to guests as needed
- Work in tandem with other managers to oversee accommodations (including household items, toiletries, etc.)
- Maintain contact with guests and forward information to departments it concerns
- Support the Serve Team Manager in dealing with Serve Team responsibilities
- Oversee all non-financial donations to Rancho Ebenezer in coordination with the Ranch Director (including items that cannot be used by the Ranch)
- Communicate with Serve Teams, guests and others about the needs of Rancho Ebenezer
- Organize welcomes and farewells for guests, teams, and missionaries
Requirement
Required Skills/Abilities include:
- Be a born again believer in Jesus Christ
- Bi-lingual, speaking both Spanish and English fluently, or willing to learn
- Understanding of cultural differences and issues that may arise
- Excellent leadership skills, including spiritual leadership
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and focus on multiple tasks with varying priorities
- Understanding of Microsoft Word or equivalent software
Education, Experience & Other
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Experience working with children
- Sensitivity to children that come from a traumatic background
- Basic understanding of procedures pertaining to child protection services and social services
- Basic understanding of local (Honduran) government
