Controller (TEXAS CPA CERTIFICATION REQUIRED)

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented, mission-driven accounting professional who combines technical excellence with strong judgement, humility and a heart for stewardship.

 

Education & Credentials:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required

· CPA designation (Texas)

 

Experience & Expertise:

· 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting

· Strong knowledge of GAAP, with experience in nonprofit accounting environments preferred (not required)

· Familiarity with nonprofit tax compliance and reporting, including Form 990

· Demonstrated ability to research and apply technical accounting guidance

 

Skills & Capabilities:

· High level of integrity and commitment to financial stewardship and accountability

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail

· Proven ability to improve processes and adapt to evolving systems and technologies

· Effective communicator—able to translate financial information clearly for non-financial leaders

· Experience leading, developing, and mentoring team members

 

Tools & Working Style:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP systems such as

Sage Intacct a plus)

· Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Thrives in a collaborative, flexible, and hybrid work setting

· Hybrid work schedule, in the Dallas office 8:30a- 5p Monday-Wednesday, and WFH/remote on Thursdays

and Fridays...or work in office 8:30a-5p Monday-Thursday and start your weekend at 2pm Friday

 

Requirement

• Texas certified CPA
• Servant's heart
• 5 plus years managment expereince
• non profit accounting helpful but not required
• a genuine interest in supporting the mission. (supporting orphaned children in Zambia)
