Job Description:
Our surgery center is searching for a full time experienced nurse to join our small surgery center in Dallas (Highland Park/Lake Highlands area). We are looking for a nurse who has a team mentality and is wanting a long-term career with our close knit team supporting two Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons.
The nurse is responsible for carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Current BLS/ACLS/PALS required. We offer a generous benefits package including medical/vision/dental/life insurance, paid time off.
Job Functions/Duties but not limited to:
- Full time position - Typical hours Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm. Occasional early arrival and later evenings dependent on case load.
- No holidays, weekends or on-call
- Conducting pre-operative assessment, medications, and consents
- Intra-operative medication administration, monitoring, and documentation
- Post-operative recovery and follow-up
Requirement
Basic Qualifications/Requirements Included:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing preferred
- Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license
- OR/PACU/ICU experience
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills to work effectively with staff, physicians, patients, visitors, and external contacts
- Strong leadership skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing healthcare environment and requirements
- Oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work with all members of the health care team to achieve positive outcomes
- Must be proficient with word processing applications, spreadsheet programs, database applications, and use of web based technology to find resource information
