Description

This individual oversees the Operations and Development Teams of Watermark Health which encompass Finance, HR, Communications, Revenue and Donor Systems, IT, and Facilities. They also function as an integrator, working closely with the Executive Director to define vision and strategy and to facilitate the implementation of such across the ministry.  In their role they will lead out in vision while also creating order and structural support for the mission as it scales and grows in complexity. With Watermark Health’s current priorities this will include development of new scalable ministry models and a social impact enterprise.

  • Work alongside Executive Director and Board of Directors to operationalize key ministry functions and to define future ministry and business development initiatives 
  • Oversee the operations and development staff teams and scale as appropriate to match the scaling impact of WMH Program Services. 
  • Lead annual Strategic Planning and Budgeting process for WMH
  • Oversee internal business efforts including the compilation and review of financial statements, the implementation and execution of financial controls and systems, the management of HR best practices and employee workflows to maintain key staff engagement and retention, and the supervision of facilities and vendor management to steward the material assets of WMH. 
  • Execute Contract Approvals, Operating Agreements, and Insurance Policies
  • Work alongside Executive Director, Board, and development team to facilitate donor communication efforts, occasionally participating in donor activities such as fundraisers, meetings, and giving campaigns. 
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and performance within internal business functions
  • Comfortably demonstrate spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and evangelism; able to shepherd/counsel staff
  • Act as leader and resource in lieu of Executive Director’s presence

Requirement

  • Masters Degree Preferred, Bachelor’s Degree Required (Business, Finance, Non-Profit Management or related)
  • 5+ Years’ Experience in Operations or Business Development type roles 
  • 3+ Years’ Experience of management of staff and teams
  • 2+ Years’ Experience in ministry or lay-leader positions in Christian Ministry
  • Proficient at financial statement analysis, assessing cash flow, and building pricing models
  • Active member in good standing at Watermark Community Church or a Partner Church
