Firm Overview

Pinnacle Family Office was previously a hedge fund from 1994 to 2010 and averaged 24.11% net of fees and expenses with one down year (2008). Pinnacle returned LP capital and became a family office in 2010. You will be working closely with the General Partner – Investments with 10 years of buyside experience and a 7.5 year track record at Pinnacle of greater than 17% average annual returns net of fees and expenses. Heavy teamwork is demanded, talent will be rewarded, and absolute integrity is required.

Position Overview

The generalist General Partner – Investments is seeking an Analyst who will conduct research, analyze companies, and help generate investment ideas. You will meet with 300+ companies each year, and you will be responsible for preparing for each meeting. The goal is for you to eventually be responsible to lead a 45-60 minute interview with the CEO and CFO. I am open to finding someone with experience that can contribute quickly or someone with little experience that has a strong work ethic and incredible drive to learn. A successful Analyst will have the opportunity to take on as much responsibility as desired and will be compensated for his/her and the team’s financial success.

Responsibilities

Diligence new investment opportunities.

Support and supplement the General Partner – Investments’s research.

Clearly and effectively communicate actionable investment ideas to colleagues.

Conduct interviews with public company management teams.

Monitor our positions for important events that affect our investments.

Create, maintain, and update financial models.

Attend roadshows, meetings, conferences (typically 3-6/year) and other company or industry events as required.

Monitor the syndicate calendar for upcoming IPOs and secondary offerings.

 

Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field.

Collaboration. The Analyst will be working closely with a small team evaluating hundreds of opportunities per year. The Analyst will be collaborating on the merits of investment ideas many times per day.

Strong problem-solving capabilities. The individual will identify issues and ask pertinent questions of management to evaluate management’s merit.

The individual possesses a competitive and self-motivated mindset and work ethic.

The Analyst must be dependable, on time, and reliable.

The individual maintains confidentiality, is intellectually curious, effectively communicates and partners with others at the firm. The individual possesses the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and mutual consideration.
