BRNS Design is a full-service architecture and interior design studio committed to providing thoughtful and inspiring design, starting each project with new design approaches and concepts.

We’re looking for a Project Architect to assist in leading project design concepts and the production of construction documents for both commercial and residential clients. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate through free-hand sketching, create three dimensional or interactive representations of designs, create building performance simulations, and prepare presentation drawings for team and client approval. The candidate will lead the architectural team to create a document set for permitting and construction purposes, coordinating with all project consultants and permitting agency for approval of project documents. Under construction, the candidate will process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s to the completion of the project and be available for on-site CA services and regular OAC meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and develops projects of small to medium scope and works under minimal supervision
• Manage the design implementation within Revit
• May oversee team of architectural associates and interns
• Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments from the project manager
• Responsible for full representation of design and functionality of project
• Communicate design ideas through hand sketching, 3D computer renderings and verbal presentation skills
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and design team members
• Must work well in a collaborative environment and be able to respond to design needs from principals
• Ability to manage the workflow of several concurrent projects across a variety of market sectors, from design phase to construction completion
• Must have the ability to produce a complete set of construction documents and develop details as the project requires
• Develop design concepts from schematic design and prepare presentation documents

Salary dependent upon experience level.

Requirement

• Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) from a NAAB Accredited University
• 8+ years of experience at an Architecture Firm
• Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
• Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative and MS office, AutoCAD
• Knowledge of rendering software, including Enscape and Twinmotion
• Knowledge of building codes
• Experience in corporate workplace, hospitality, retail, restaurant, churches, and residential project types
