Job Summary:

GSI is an established fabricator of Highway Safety Products with a growing market and clientele. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of professionals. The Ideal candidate will have previous experience in the civil construction project management, and/or steel fabrication industry. They must be organized, motivated, detail oriented and driven. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a benefits package.

Requirement

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years’ experience in construction estimating.
• Able to read Civil Highway plans and develop cost estimation.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong Math skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong skills in Microsoft office including Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Bluebeam experience is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Attend weekly Estimating Department Meeting.
• Follow GSI estimating procedures.
• Organize work to ensure timely completion of estimates.
• Review and analyze contract documents including plans and specifications, interpret and understand information to be able to create an accurate take off and estimate.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and contractors, as well as other employees.
• Discuss projects with customers, estimating team and sales staff.
• Maintain Document Control according to GSI procedures.
• Other Duties as assigned.
• Reports directly to the Estimating and Pricing Manager.
